Wetland Conservation

The Environmental Office is the local government unit responsible for regulating wetlands under the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act of 1991. Information and forms pertaining to the program can be found on the MN Board of Water and Soil Resources website. Landowners and contractors working on drainage or excavation projects that may affect a wetland need to complete the Landowner Statement and Contractor Responsibility as well as the first two pages of the Minnesota Local/State/Federal Application Form for Water/Wetland Projects.
